The Samosir Regency Government together with Dairi Regency and West Pakpak Regency have agreed on the boundaries of the three districts with the aim of clarifying land ownership. The agreement was marked by the signing of an agreement to confirm the boundaries recently attended by the Regent of Samosir, Vandiko Gultom, Deputy Regent of Dairi, Jimmi Sihombing and the Regent of Pakpak Barat, Fransz Benhard Tumanggor.
Apart from being attended by the three regional leaders, the agreement was also witnessed by the Head of Sub-Directorate for Regional Inter-Regional Boundary I of the Directorate General of Regional Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Wardani and the Head of the Governmental Bureau of the North Sumatra Province Government and Otda Bureau, Ervan Gani Siahaan to the village head bordering Dairi and Pakpak Barat.
The Head of Sub-Directorate for Inter-Regional Boundary Region I of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Wardani conveyed that the measurement and mapping had been discussed and agreed upon in Jakarta with the respective regional leaders, so that after being signed, the agreement to confirm these boundaries would later be outlined in the RI Minister of Home Affairs.
