The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy / Tourism and Creative Economy Agency through the Implementing Lake Toba Tourism Authority (BPODT) held a New Normal Adaptation Campaign in the Lake Toba region, as part of the BISA (Clean, Beautiful, Healthy, Safe) Movement and the manifestation of Lake Toba’s readiness welcome tourists throughout Indonesia, of course, by implementing health protocols. The activity will be held on August 4-5, 2020 in Parapat, Simalungun.
The tourism actors involved in this action seemed enthusiastic about carrying out a campaign around the city of Parapat, Kab. Simalungun was preceded by a theatrical performance by local artists and the distribution of health protocol notice boards in hotels and restaurants in the Parapat area.
The New Habit Adaptation Campaign also aims to convey to the world that tourists are welcome to return to travel to Lake Toba to enjoy the natural beauty and uniqueness of cultural arts. This program also aims to revive the tourism economy and creative economy in the Lake Toba area which was badly affected during the Covid-19 pandemic.
