  1. Curator Mr. Taufik Rahzen: Determination of Characteristics and Types of Events and Categories of National and International Events in the Lake Toba Region.
creating a festival there are 3 main principles namely:
    • Public space (village) in the form of a ceremony that represents the diversity of Indonesian culture, based on the uniqueness of space, topos or geographical and ancestral or hereditary culture. Included in this event: sekaten, seren tahun, rite Sasi, Pasola or Pandan War.
    • Kala is the time owned by the public in the form of: social ceremonies related to the rites of time of transition Based on the diversity of aspects of time, time or cronos. Included in this section: Muharram Celebration, Turn of the Year, Nyepi, Vesak, Chinese New Year or Ramadan.
    • Patra (Symbol) in the form of: Ceremonies that display symbols, Patras or national logos. Social rites that affirm cultural character that transcends local identity. The Heritage City Festival which is held on a nomad basis moves annually. Examples: the independence carnival, the commemoration of the archipelago day, the Umbrella Festival, the National Parade in Ende.
  2. The guest speaker Muklis: Quality and Continual Improvement of Events to Bring Foreign Tourists and Tourists to North Sumatra. The material begins by displaying data on the number of tourists and tourists in 2016-2019. In implementing the event we must know 5 w (why, who, when, where and what). The problems that we often see in events are schedules that cannot be determined, funding, location and event schedules that often change in each region with promotions that are constrained by costs. Successful events that we can see from the large number of visitors, events enjoyed by visitors and financing that can be attracted by visitors and improve with the evaluation of events that have been implemented.
  3. Curator: Mr. Ombang Siboro: Characteristics, quality and local events and culture events that are quality and sustainable. When we will carry out the event it’s good we must be selective in choosing a location and have an ongoing event and awaited by visitors.
  4. The guest speaker Basar Simanjuntak: Implementation and Support of events in the Lake Toba region and procedures for submitting regional event support. Beginning with exposure material about activities that have been carried out by BPODT. propose an improvement in the quality of events that must have progress.
    Recommendation:
    • Improving the quality of events by involving curators.
    • Synergy in preparing attractions for the use of tourism facilities in 2020.
    • The Musrenbang event that involved the executive and legislative region of Lake Toba to compile the 2021 Calender Of Event began with the April 2020 plan.
    • BPODT Will send a letter to the Regents in the Lake Toba Area.
